Writers block waltz

/Gregg

Well I ain’t wrote a waltz yet so I guess that is what I will do

The time will be different but it’s still the same subjects you’re used to

I hope it sings like this whiskey and only sounds better with age

But this bottle might be empty before I can fill up this page

It sounds just like every other song that I’ve wrote

It sounds more familiar with each passing note

Cause its all the same and I still feel held down

Like chains my decisions bind me to this town

And I ain’t wrote a waltz yet so I guess that is what I will do

The time will be different but it’s still the same subjects you’re used to

I hope it sings like this whiskey and only sounds better with age

And this bottle will be empty before I can fill up this page

Maybe some day Ill lighten this load

Pick myself up and get out on the road

And with me Ill take everything that I’ve learned

Try to keep you proud of me and not as concerned

And I aint wrote a waltz yet so I guess that is what I will do

The time will be different but it’s still the same subjects you’re used to

I hope it sings like this whiskey and only sounds better with age

And this bottle has been emptied before I could fill up this page
