HUNTINGTON

She sat down right next to me while I played music to the streets

We exchanged our darling past times in that West Virginia breeze

I hung on to every word that she had to say through her southern grin

And now she's gone and I'd sure be lucky if I ever got the chance to see her again

I'd love to miss the place that I've learned to know so well

And I'll tip my hat to that valley, as I bid them all farewell

Cause I got lost somewhere behind her honest, autumn eyes

And my thoughts were so busy spinning in my mind that I

didn't even hear her say goodbye

She got up from out conversation and said that she'd love to stay

But an unavoidable obligation must not lead her away

"Would you like to meet again sometime?" I was just to shy to say

So I sang "Down Home Girl" as I watched her walk away

I'd love to miss the place that I've learned to know so well

And I'll tip my hat to that valley, as I bid them all farewell

Now I've got something on my mind, for to long its gone unannounced

My soul was relinquished from the North when my heart was stolen by the South

When my heart was stolen by the South
